Natural Health Care for Prostate Problems

Problems causing prostate symptoms affect many men over the age of 40. The first thing you notice is you can?t urinate as well as you used to and the surge of peeing is not as strong as it was; so eventually it slows down to a dribble.

Frustratingly, your prostate symptoms cause you to urinate more often and having to go to the bathroom possibly several times during the night disrupting your sleep pattern. Fortunately, there are natural treatments for enlarged prostate!

If you have a sedentary lifestyle or a job which requires sitting for long periods, you are more at risk for the onset of prostate symptoms than men who are active.
Exercise for 20-30 minutes at least 3 times a week is the answer. I personally recommend Yoga.

We are not talking Prostate Cancer here:

I am referring to the Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). You must first see your health practitioner for a proper diagnoses before using the suggested remedies below to make living with prostate problems for you more tolerable or, hopefully, the suggested natural treatments for enlarged prostate lead you on the road to a healthy recovery.

You Can Use a Combination of the Suggested Natural Treatments for Enlarged Prostate below or you can use them on their own:

Other natural treatments for enlarged prostate are Tomatoes which have a natural antioxidant:

lycopene, a carotenoids which reduces inflammation and fights prostate infection, disease and swelling.

You can also purchase lycopene supplements at a health store or online.
However, if you can eat plenty of tomatoes everyday, or eat them in the form of tomato puree/paste, tomato sauce/ketchup, tomato juice, pasta sauce or any tomato based ingredient added to your dish will do you just fine.

You can tuck into apricots and watermelons as Lycopene is found in them too.
There are Many all Natural Health Supplements Healing Herbs to be Found to Treat your Condition; However, the Following is Plenty Enough for You to try Out:

Healing herbs such as Bachu is an effective herbal remedy for many ailments and is a great help for prostate problems.

- Hydrangea is another healing herbs and it?s most beneficial use is for enlarged prostate.

- Saw palmetto twice daily comes in 160gmg capsules. The extract of berries in saw palmetto cuts off the hormone which causes the growth of the prostate gland.

- Pygeum africanum is used mainly to relieve the symptoms of prostate cancer and benign non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. This herb is used to reduce the swelling and is an anti-inflammatory.

It also cuts down the amount of times you need to urinate during the night. My advice for this herb is, you should visit a fully qualified herbalist who will subscribe the correct dosage.
A good source of zinc is eating unroasted pumpkin seeds daily; this is an age old remedy for enlarged prostate.

Nettle root taken with saw palmetto or pygeum, or 250gms of nettle root taken on its own aids in shrinking the prostate symptoms.

Omega 3 fatty acids reduce inflammation of the prostate:

You find them in oily fish such as: salmon, sardines and mackerel. Flax seed oil is also a rich source of essential fatty acids and can be added to your food, a tablespoon twice a day.
Or you can take a cod liver oil capsule daily; go for the high strength 1000mg; any lower will not contain the right amount of Omega 3 to be effective.

Reducing Prostate Symptoms with Fluids:

Prostate help in the form of Fennel Tea is a really good, so why not try it? Avoid coffee, tea and colas which have caffeine, a diuretic -- something to avoid ? that blocks the flow of urine. So give Fennel tea the thumbs up.

There is also a Fennel natural health supplement in either tablet or capsule form you can purchase at any health store or online.

You need to drink plenty of fluids, but should avoid drinking in the evenings which will lessen your visits to the bathroom.

You can drink alcohol in moderation:

Two or three glasses of red wine or beer will help in reducing prostate symptoms. Don't drink spirits as this will only aggravate the problem.

Increase the Blood Flow to your Prostate:

Increase the blood flow to your prostate by taking long, warm, baths decreases swelling and inflammation.

Don't keep your bladder full as the urine only serves to irritate your prostate symptoms. The myth is it will exercise your bladder -- it won't!

So go and pee when you have the urge. No one has a stopwatch on you, so take your time until your bladder is completely empty.

If you are straining and can't urinate for 8 hours, it is urgent to get hospital treatment. You most likely have an obstruction and, if prolonged, can cause kidney failure.

Take care and I'll catchya later. Bye
