Problems causing prostate symptoms affect many men over the age of 40. The first thing you notice is you can?t urinate as well as you used to and the surge of peeing is not as strong as it was; so eventually it slows down to a dribble.
Frustratingly, your prostate symptoms cause you to urinate more often and having to go to the bathroom possibly several times during the night disrupting your sleep pattern. Fortunately, there are natural treatments for enlarged prostate!
If you have a sedentary lifestyle or a job which requires sitting for long periods, you are more at risk for the onset of prostate symptoms than men who are active.
Exercise for 20-30 minutes at least 3 times a week is the answer. I personally recommend Yoga.
We are not talking Prostate Cancer here:
I am referring to the Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). You must first see your health practitioner for a proper diagnoses before using the suggested remedies below to make living with prostate problems for you more tolerable or, hopefully, the suggested natural treatments for enlarged prostate lead you on the road to a healthy recovery.
You Can Use a Combination of the Suggested Natural Treatments for Enlarged Prostate below or you can use them on their own:
Other natural treatments for enlarged prostate are Tomatoes which have a natural antioxidant:
lycopene, a carotenoids which reduces inflammation and fights prostate infection, disease and swelling.
You can also purchase lycopene supplements at a health store or online.
However, if you can eat plenty of tomatoes everyday, or eat them in the form of tomato puree/paste, tomato sauce/ketchup, tomato juice, pasta sauce or any tomato based ingredient added to your dish will do you just fine.
You can tuck into apricots and watermelons as Lycopene is found in them too.
There are Many all Natural Health Supplements Healing Herbs to be Found to Treat your Condition; However, the Following is Plenty Enough for You to try Out:
Healing herbs such as Bachu is an effective herbal remedy for many ailments and is a great help for prostate problems.
- Hydrangea is another healing herbs and it?s most beneficial use is for enlarged prostate.
- Saw palmetto twice daily comes in 160gmg capsules. The extract of berries in saw palmetto cuts off the hormone which causes the growth of the prostate gland.
- Pygeum africanum is used mainly to relieve the symptoms of prostate cancer and benign non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. This herb is used to reduce the swelling and is an anti-inflammatory.
It also cuts down the amount of times you need to urinate during the night. My advice for this herb is, you should visit a fully qualified herbalist who will subscribe the correct dosage.
A good source of zinc is eating unroasted pumpkin seeds daily; this is an age old remedy for enlarged prostate.
Nettle root taken with saw palmetto or pygeum, or 250gms of nettle root taken on its own aids in shrinking the prostate symptoms.
Omega 3 fatty acids reduce inflammation of the prostate:
You find them in oily fish such as: salmon, sardines and mackerel. Flax seed oil is also a rich source of essential fatty acids and can be added to your food, a tablespoon twice a day.
Or you can take a cod liver oil capsule daily; go for the high strength 1000mg; any lower will not contain the right amount of Omega 3 to be effective.
Reducing Prostate Symptoms with Fluids:
Prostate help in the form of Fennel Tea is a really good, so why not try it? Avoid coffee, tea and colas which have caffeine, a diuretic -- something to avoid ? that blocks the flow of urine. So give Fennel tea the thumbs up.
There is also a Fennel natural health supplement in either tablet or capsule form you can purchase at any health store or online.
You need to drink plenty of fluids, but should avoid drinking in the evenings which will lessen your visits to the bathroom.
You can drink alcohol in moderation:
Two or three glasses of red wine or beer will help in reducing prostate symptoms. Don't drink spirits as this will only aggravate the problem.
Increase the Blood Flow to your Prostate:
Increase the blood flow to your prostate by taking long, warm, baths decreases swelling and inflammation.
Don't keep your bladder full as the urine only serves to irritate your prostate symptoms. The myth is it will exercise your bladder -- it won't!
So go and pee when you have the urge. No one has a stopwatch on you, so take your time until your bladder is completely empty.
If you are straining and can't urinate for 8 hours, it is urgent to get hospital treatment. You most likely have an obstruction and, if prolonged, can cause kidney failure.
Take care and I'll catchya later. Bye

Home Remedies for Sinusitis Symptoms
I have occasionally suffered Sinusitis symptoms and it always cleared up in a few days without treatment; until one day I went to a friend?s birthday party. I tell you, I gave up smoking donkey's years ago.
The aforementioned birthday boy hands around cigars; I refused at first. Oh what the heck! One won?t hurt, I won?t inhale anyway. Silly me, I ended up with acute sinusitis that lasted several weeks.
Despite weeks of home remedies for sinusitis, I had to visit my doctor who diagnosed an infection that could only be treated by antibiotics.
So before I provide you with all natural health remedies for sinusitis treatment, I must make it clear to you, you should respond well to the remedies I give below; if not, and your sinuses are painful and goes on for weeks as mine did, or you have persistent attacks, you must see your medical practitioner as -- in exceptional cases -- it can be serious. Infection can spread to the eyes or brain.
The bad news out the way; the good news is you can clear up and sooth your sinuses with natural home remedies easily and effectively.
Treatment for Sinusitis the Natural Way:
Go for your acupressure points first: after applying massage oil, use both your index fingers and gently massage the acupressure points beneath your cheekbones, moving back and forth from your nose to your upper jawbone. Repeat at least 10 times in either direction.
Now, beginning with the bridge of your nose, use the tips of your index fingers to press against either side, moving on down to your nostrils applying a light pressure to the cartilage rather than the bone.
Massaging these acupressure points melt away fatty deposits and helps free the bacteria.
Steam Relief:
Steam is a great relief for sinuses. Draw in the water and swallow while taking a hot shower will help clear your sinuses. Stay in the shower as long as you can and breathe in the steam.
Pour hot water (not too hot) into a bowl; add a small amount of Vick's vapor rub; place the bowl on a steady table, put a towel over your head and breath in the steam and vapor.
If you prefer, add a few drops eucalyptus oil instead, or you can break a Kervol capsule and squirt the contents into the bowl.
Use of a Neti Pot is Another Effective Sinusitis Treatment:
This not to everyone's taste, but I found it very effective. You take a pinch of carbonate of soda, a half teaspoon of salt and mix in a cup of warm water; poor it into a Neti Pot (It is like a small watering can. Yogis use it as breath is much a part of Yoga. You can purchase a Neti Pot at a health store or on the Internet online.
Lean your head to one side and pour the solution into one of your nostrils until the solution comes out the other nostril. Blow your nose gently and repeat with the other nostril until the solution is used up.
If you Enjoy HOT Sauces or HOT Spicy Foods, you're in For a Treat; they Thin the Mucus and this helps Break up Congestion:
- a teaspoon of horseradish and lemon a couple of time a day before food will do wonders for your sinuses.
- Throw some chili peppers into your food will do wonders
- Cayenne pepper is a great spicy alternative
- If you can manage the burn, chop raw fresh garlic and eat
More Tips for the Symptoms of Sinusitis, Including Teas & Herbs:
- Soaking a warm cloth and holding it against your face and eyes will bring relief. Once cool, repeat until you feel better.
- A nice cuppa loosens the mucus. Drink a few cups of Chamomile tea, Ginger tea or Rose hip tea daily. These are well-known old recipes for treating sinusitis.
- Drink Goldenseal tea; it gives your immune system a boost and can kill off bacteria.
- The herbs Ethnicacea and Astragalus is a boost for your immune system and can kill viruses and bacteria. Ask at your health shop.
- At bed time you can add an extra pillow to raise your head allowing your sinuses to drain, or you could raise the head of the bed with a couple of bricks.
Prevention:
Reduce your intake of alcohol as this will only exacerbate your symptoms of sinusitis swelling the nasal membranes.
- Dairy produce could be a problem, but not in all cases, as it forms mucus - a case of trial and error.
- Chlorine is a problem for sinusitis, so avoid swimming pools.
- Smoking is a no no as this can be one of the causes of sinusitis. Avoid anyone smoking around you.
Take care and I'll catchya later. Bye?

Natural Health Care for Sunburn Remedies
If you are fair-skinned with light coloured eyes, I'm afraid you are more susceptible to sunburn and a number one candidate for skin cancer if you continually expose yourself to the heat of the sun on a regular basis; as is someone who has been treated and cured of skin cancer.
The first advice is everyone should avoid severe sunburn at all costs - especially as its adverse affects not only include damage to your skin, but also the additional risk of skin cancer is very real and not to be taken lightly...so follow our advice on sunburn remedies.
9 Natural Remedies for Sunburn Treatments
So let's start with a few sunburn remedies for with a few natural health products you can buy at most health stores or on the Internet:
It seems like I'm stating the obvious, yet the first thing you should do for sunburn relief is to cool down:
. Immediately poor cold water onto your sunburned areas. Better still, you can soak in a cool bath and add some baking soda or a cup of oatmeal which will help relieve your sunburn pain.
. Adding a cup or two of vinegar, white vinegar, cider vinegar or apple cider vinegar to your cool bath water will help take the pain and sting out of your sunburn. Applying any one mentioned straight to your skin with a soft cloth is effective too as is the liquid content of a vitamin E capsule applied straight to your skin.
. Use natural moisturizing oils to relieve your symptoms; Aloe Vera gel is used for sunburn because of its positive healing and rejuvenating properties.
. Another natural remedy for this would be to add a few drops of peppermint oil to a warm cup of water and apply with a soft cloth. The fragrance and the cooling effects of peppermint alleviate the burning pain of your sunburn symptoms.
. You might like to apply the herb St John?s Wart in ointment form which is an antiseptic and pain killer. Stay out of the sun if you take St John?s Wart herbal tablet orally as your skin will be more sensitive to the rays.
. You can apply to your skin brewed peppermint tea; after allowing cooling time, dip a soft cloth into the pot and carefully wash it over your sunburn. Make a pot of Green Tea; wait for it to cool, poor it onto a soft cloth and use as a cold compress; this will help to reduce inflammation and protect your skin from the damage ultra violate radiation can do.
. Believe it or not, milk or ordinary (cooled) tea are great sunburn remedies - cooling and soothing.
. If you have spots or areas of bad sunburn gently rub the site with a slice of potato or cucumber.
. Toothpaste can ease the pain of small burn sites and can prevent blisters
Warnings:
If you or someone is too weak to stand, is disorientated and confused, get them to a doctor or hospital immediately - also if they have large blisters which could become infected.
Do not EVER use oils, fats or grease on blisters or burns; these are for cooking only, so be assured, apply these and your skin will fry! Use only the sunburn remedies outlined above.
Severe Sunburn and Sunburn Prevention:
. Use a sunscreen. The herb: Sea Buckthorn (Hippophaer Rhamnoids) is a natural a sunscreen; you should apply it 3 to 4 times per day to reverse damaging effects of sun radiation.
. Cover yourself completely, from top to bottom. Wear trousers, not jeans, cotton top with sleeves; also wear sunglasses with a wide brimmed hat.
. Arotenoids are in your everyday natural health foods and is found to help prevent sunburn. Add more dark green vegetables into your diet, also include: tomatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, cantaloupe, winter squash, peaches, papaya and red peppers. Eating Tomato Puree/Paste has nutrients that helps guard against the sun?s ultraviolet rays.
One more thing! Just 15 minutes of sunshine a day will provide you with all the daily requirement of Vitamin D you need - more than than any food or vitamin can!
If the sun is strong, no need to bare your skin, just wear light clothes as the sun?s ultraviolet rays will penetrate even on hot cloudy days. After 15 minutes be sure to follow the Sunburn prevention advice above.
Take care and I,ll catchya later. Bye.

Natural Health Care for Heat Rash Symptoms
Summer Heat waves are a regular occurrence in countries in the northern hemisphere. These periods of persistent heat and humidity can last several weeks mainly between the months of July and August and if you you visit or live in a hot climate you are prone to heat rash symptoms.
The summer heat and humidity is the right environment to bring on heat rash - also known as prickly heat rash and its medical term: miliaria rubra - which can cause you intense discomfort and itchiness.
Needless to say, it is vital you sweat in the heat in order to cool your body down. Unfortunately, if you wear tight clothing in hot humid weather, sweat is unable to escape making you a sure candidate for heat rash symptoms.
Being Overweight can Cuse Prickly Heat Rash Symptoms:
In the West, there are more overweight people then ever before. If you are overweight, it is more likely to cause your skin to rub together and can be the cause of prickly heat rash symptoms.
The rash itself comes in the form of tiny red bumps which are particularly itchy, typically under your armpits, your groin area and around your neck.
Though pretty uncomfortable, prickly heat rash is not serious and should last about three days; or if it lasts longer and you have a thirst, you feel nauseous accompanied by a headache and/or fever then you may have heat stroke or heat exhaustion and you must visit your doctor. You should also see your doctor if the heat rash pimples becomes infected.
Natural Health Solutions for Prickly Heat Rash:
For the ordinary form of prickly heat rash, following these natural health solutions should reduce its effects and clear it up sooner:
. This may sound obvious, but the first thing you need to do is cool down. Take a cool shower - not cold as this will only conserve heat in your body.
. Better still, soak in a cool bath. Add several tablespoons of bicarbonate of soda. This helps reduce itching. If a shower or bath is not available, run cold water over your wrists; this will help cool you down until you can get to a bath or shower later.
. Wet wipes are handy if you have them, or soak a cloth in cold water to cool your heat rash sores. Alternatively, place an icepack in the cloth and apply to the area. Never put ice in direct contact to your skin.
. Soak your feet in a bowl of cold water.
. Here?s an age old remedy: rub corn flour or bicarbonate of soda to the rash area to soak up the sweat. Every few hours wash it off and repeat.
. Calamine lotion is a favorite for sunburn, but is equally effective with heat rash and will reduce itching.
. Stay off the alcohol - as this can dehydrate you and drink plenty of cold water instead.
Prevention is Better than cure:
Okay, now we know prevention is better than cure, so here are a few natural health care tips for preventing prickly heat rash:
. Avoid cooking up hot foods. Eat cold meats and/or salads. If you don?t have air conditioning, sit near a fan.
. If you go outside, avoid using oil-based sun blocks.
. Wear loose cotton garments and avoid synthetics.
. Wear a wide brimmed hat.
. If you are outside and you begin to feel hot and uncomfortable, you can always nip into a public place that is cool, has fans or air-conditioning: a restaurant, a cafeteria, a pub, have a cold drink but no alcohol or cola; the alcohol or the caffeine in the cola will dehydrate you making you feel worse.
. Many stores have air-conditioning too, so take advantage: browse around and cool down.
. If you really must go to a beach find some shade if you can, or sit under an umbrella.
If you are overweight, losing a few pounds will help so your body will generate less heat and you will be less likely to contract those nasty heat rash symptoms.
Take care and I'll catchya later. Bye.
